AirPods Get Lost

AirPods Get Lost

As we reach the holiday season, AirPods will again likely be among the top of the wish list. Yes, there are upgrades of the regular AirPods and the AirPods Pro. But almost one in five people will not necessarily be either upgrading or getting their first pair. Approximately 17% will be getting replacement AirPods that they lost. And this time, they may want to think of getting some earbud grip pads with them.

The same wireless beauty that provides that sense of freedom and comfort of not having to deal with wires or sometimes even outside noise, is actually surrounded by a sense of vulnerability at the possibility of losing them. This has become so commonplace that jokers in various cities are sticking AirPod stickers on manhole covers or subway floors only to see pedestrians kneeling down to pick up a precious… sticker! But don’t take our word for it, Google “lost airpods” and you’ll find a myriad of articles, tricks, recommendations and all sorts of mourning and advice about the loss of these priced earbuds.

Around the country, various subway systems around the country have found thousands of lost airpods, whether singles or in pairs, as commuters drop them, forget them or they simply fall off their ears. At somewhere between $159 and $249 a pop, this results in a lot of lost customer value, and an estimated whopping $1 billion plus in sales for Apple.

And it doesn’t stop there, because while they are the most popular, AirPods are only one brand of wireless earbuds. Samsung, Sennheiser, SkullCandy, Jabra, JBL, Beats and the list goes on…

But all is not lost, or at least it needn’t be. There are a number of grip pads that can secure your precious audio devices to your ears and let you enjoy the wireless freedom without the anxiety of losing them as you squeeze your way into a New York City subway car. Our Setex earbud grip pads for AirPods and AirPods Pro are specifically designed to easily attach to your pods and fit smoothly into the charging case. But more importantly, they use our patented gecko-inspired technology that will provide a unique grip onto your ear.

So if you’re planning on getting your teenager a set of the new, priced Apple earbuds, you may want to think about adding some protection to them too.
